HALFTIME'S CODE OF CONDUCT

Halftime exists to bring people together through friendly, social sport. Our leagues are built on respect, inclusivity, and sportsmanship, and we ask every member to help keep it that way. We have zero tolerance for behaviour that undermines our community or our values. By joining Halftime, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct at all times:

1. PLAY WITH SPORTSMANSHIP

Compete fairly. Play hard if you like, but always keep it friendly. Winning matters less than making sure everyone enjoys the game. Respect the outcome of matches and treat every game as a chance to have fun, not just to win.

2. TREAT ALL WITH RESPECT

Treat all players, League Hosts, venue staff, and opponents with courtesy and respect - regardless of skill level, gender, age, background, or ability. Harassment, discrimination, bullying, and abusive language have no place at Halftime and will not be tolerated.

Be inclusive and welcoming. Halftime is for everyone - beginners and seasoned players alike. Welcome new players, include your teammates, and help make every session a place people want to come back to.

3. OFFICIATE YOURSELF WITH HONESTY

Our games run largely on self-officiation. If you commit an infraction, own up to it. Make fair calls, accept others' calls in good faith, and don't argue in bad faith. Your League Host has the final say in any dispute.

4. KEEP IT SAFE

Play within your limits and with care for others. Reckless, dangerous, or overly aggressive play is not acceptable. Follow your League Host's instructions, and stop play immediately if asked. If you see something unsafe, tell your Host.

5. RESPECT THE VENUE

Look after the spaces we play in. Follow each venue's rules, clean up after yourself, and treat equipment and facilities with care.

6. NO ALCOHOL OR PLAYING UNDER THE INFLUENCE

The consumption of alcohol during Halftime Leagues is not allowed. For everyone's safety, do not play while under the influence.

7. CONSEQUENCES OF NON-ADHERENCE

Players who breach this Code may be warned, removed from a game, or for serious or repeated breaches, be suspended or removed from the league without refund. League Hosts and Halftime staff have the authority to make these decisions, and Halftime has the final say in all matters of conduct.

Questions or concerns?

If you ever experience or witness behaviour that doesn't live up to this Code, please speak to your League Host or email us at info@halftime-sports.com.
