How long is each game? The listed time slot is several hours long?

Each game is 1 hour per week for 4 weeks. Your exact match time will fall within the listed window (2-5pm) each week. You'll get a finalised schedule, and everything else you need to know, by email before the season kicks off.

What does "minimum team size" mean?

We mandate a minimum of 8 players on team registrations so that even when a few of your players can't make it on a given week, you'll still have enough to field for the 4 v 4.

You're welcome to recruit an even bigger team, and in some cases you should. If your group has busy work schedules, you should recruit a bigger team. The bigger your team, the more subs you'll have each week, and the easier it is to always show up with a full 4 or more.

In short: build your team around how often your players can actually turn up. Teammates with reliable schedules? You could go with the minimum. Teammates have unpredictable schedules? Recruit a bigger team so you're never caught short.

What if I can't commit to attending every week this season? 

If you can't make a game, a friend can fill in for you. Just make sure they've created their own Halftime member account and that your teammates are happy to welcome them.

I want to sign up with a few friends, but we don't have a full team. 

Easy! Register everyone together in one checkout on the Individual Registration page, and we'll put you on the same team. We'll add other players to round out your squad to a full team of 8-10 players. If you've already paid separately, email us and we'll sort you out.

Is there a gender ratio rule per team?  

Yes, our leagues are mixed-gender by design, so we ask every team to field a mixed line-up with at least one female player on court at all times. It keeps games inclusive and balanced, which makes them more fun for everyone.

Is equipment provided?  

Yes, we provide IFF-certified floorball sticks. So you can just turn up and play.
